Texts related to Archimedes

This site hosts a Canonical Text Services (CTS) installation that is planned to offer texts by and about the greatest mathematician of classical antiquity, Archimedes.

Greek texts incorporating new readings from the Archimedes Palimpsest project will be included. Versions of other texts will primarily include works in English translation. Editions in Latin or Greek of many of these texts are available from a CTS of selected texts for courses at Holy Cross College .

Although CTS is primarily intended as a service to other computer programs, the XML replies to CTS queries on this site include simple XSLT transformations that allow end users to view the replies formatted for reading in a Web browser.
